My rating: 1/5 stars
I only gave this film ONE star out of five stars because of the good special effects and super hot Maggie Q. Otherwise, This movie was horrible. The plot is too pointless to discuss further. Even if I did want to discuss the plot, I could not, because the first thirty minutes of the film kept putting me to sleep. Thus, I just fast forwarded the movie to watch the action scenes and any scenes with Maggie Q.
This is a typical action movie made by the predictably stupid liberal entertainment industry. Thus, if you lost your brain somewhere and find yourself somehow still conscious, though barely, this is a good movie to watch. I really mean this in every way. If you want to enjoy this movie, do not focus on anything but the violence. Plot, acting, dialogue, character development, character relationships, and so forth is barely existent in this movie. In my opinion, playing a violent video game is a lot better way to zone out and take a break from whatever is tiring you out than watching the vast majority of action films, including this film.
To make this movie even more unbearable, the film uses too many elements in Tom Cruise’s current life and past movies, thus I could not forget about Tom Cruise the Scientologist throughout this film. In my opinion, Scientology is a wacky religion. In the past, I have never cared, but now that Scientology has gotten so much money, which a good chunk of might have came from Tom Cruise’s salary and support of the “religion,” I now hesitate to watch and support Tom Cruise’s movies.
I only watched it because someone else rented it. I know some people may remark, “Stop being such a dictator and let people practice whatever religion they want to practice and let them live whatever lifestyle they want to live. It is just a movie and America is a free country.” I would reply, “Yes, America is a free country, so let me spend my money as I please.”
