Anyhow, I thought Sony’s revelation was underwhelming. I personally dislike Sony’s plans for the PS4 Pro, but I am an exclusively PC gamer. I have always been disappointed by game consoles, which is why I have never ever owned one. However, video-game developers tend to create games for both game consoles and gaming PCs, and video-game developers frequently copy each other. Similar situations exist for the hardware.
IMO, Sony should have released the Playstation 4 Pro (a.k.a., Playstation 4.5 or Playstation 4 Neo) in late 2017 with at least 4 times more performance than the original PS4 (like what Microsoft will be doing with the Xbox One vs. the Xbox Scorpio). The PS4 Pro is ~2 times better than the original PS4, but this performance gain is a small real-world improvement for two-dimensional (2D) TVs and monitors (i.e., your standard or typical television or computer screen). A game’s resolution could be significantly upgraded from 1080p to 4K, but both versions of this game will have very similar textures, three-dimensional (3D) shapes, virtual physics, and frame rates. Thus, the two versions will have similar overall real-world results. In addition, 4K televisions and computer screens are currently rare.
The performance gain should permit decent results for modern virtual-reality goggles (e.g., Sony Morpheus virtual-reality goggle or HTC & Valve's Vive virtual-reality goggle). Modern virtual-reality (VR) goggles finally have decent frame rates (e.g., 90 fps), but the resolution is still grainy or has a screen-door effect, and, with current hardware, the textures and 3D shapes are underwhelming. The technology is still new, thus, it has vastly inferior quality and quantity of video games when compared to video games for 2D TVs and monitors. In addition, virtual-reality goggles could be harmful for a person’s vision. It could increase myopia, which is already on the rise around the world, especially in the wealthier nations. The artificial light, the inferior detail, the very nearby image, and the fake 3D positions could be bad for your eyesight.
Moderate sunbathing for your skin is healthy for you, because natural light powers your skin’s vitamin D production, provides mild anti-microbial effects, and stimulates capillary blood flow. Indirect and moderate sunbathing for your eyes promotes and helps maintain better eyesight. For example, do NOT wear any type of glasses (e.g., prescription glasses and sunglasses) or contact lens while you go outside during daytime and look at objects. Do NOT directly look at the sun, and do NOT look at shiny objects (i.e., highly reflective surfaces). Obviously, excess sunlight or a sunburn is bad for you. Signs of sunburn include red and sensitive skin, freckles, age spots, painful and peeling skin, and blinding brightness. Outdoor viewpoints also provide a much greater range of objects from nearby stuff to distant objects, which is a natural exercise for your eyes.
I think Sony is attempting a two-prong approach with the PS 4 Pro: (1) hype up its slightly better real-world performance, and (2) hope it will eventually work well with the Morpheus VR goggle. The ultimate goal is more profits for Sony. Maybe enough or lots of console gamers will buy into Sony's solutions. Maybe not. We will find out.
In my ideal world, both Sony and Microsoft should not release partially updated home game-consoles. They are unnecessary or provide small practical gains. Sony and Microsoft should stick with the traditional schedule. In other words, support the original Xbox One or PS4 for 5 to 7 years, release the slim or more efficient varieties when possible, and then release an entirely new home game console with around 10 times the performance of the previous generation.
The original PS4 and Xbox One first went on sale in late 2013. The all-new PS5 and Xbox Two (or whatever non-sequential name Microsoft comes up with) could easily debut in late 2018 or late 2019, which is 5 to 6 year separation between the two generations. The year 2020 plus or minus a few years should be when 4K and 8K televisions and computer screens start becoming the new standard that replaces 720p and 1080p. In other words, the traditional game-console cycle is still highly effective. I think at least a large minority of home-game-console gamers prefer a 5 to 7 year cycle over a 3 year cycle. The faster cycle could eventually convince at least some home-game-console gamers to become PC gamers.
According to some news sources, Nintendo will release more information about its upcoming Nintendo NX on 2016 Sept 12 (Mon). The all-new Nintendo NX should be on sale in the first half of 2017. According to various rumors, Nintendo will use the upcoming Nintendo NX to gradually exit the home-game-console market and focus on portable-game-console market plus video games for tablet PCs and smartphones. Nintendo has a history of succeeding with portable game consoles, younger gamers, and casual gamers. Nintendo struggles with older gamers, hardcore gamers, and third-party video-game developers, because these people favor powerful CPUs and GPUs that have been neglected by Nintendo.
From a financial viewpoint, Nintendo is beating the Microsoft Xbox division and the Sony Playstation division. Microsoft sells its home game consoles at a loss or with tiny profits, because Microsoft plans to make larger profits from software sales and service fees. Sony employs the same strategy. Nintendo tries to make maximum profits from every hardware, software, and service it sells.
Anyhow, a gaming PC still offers vastly greater variety for both software and hardware, much older backward compatibility, and clearly superior upgrade options. However, a gaming PC offers much more inconvenience for buying the parts and actually using the PC, a larger number of hackers or cheaters, a higher cost, and inferior programming efficiency or inferior software optimization.
In addition, a gaming PC has its PC-only games, and Playstation has its exclusive games. Every gaming platform has its exclusives. Both Microsoft and Sony have current options and future plans to make Xbox-exclusive games and Playstation-exclusive games available for gaming PCs, but these options and plans are sub-optimal for various reasons. Some games have better designs for the gaming PC (thus, inferior support for game consoles), and other games have superior optimization for game consoles (which means inferior compatibility for gaming PCs).
In unrelated news, the United Nations Human Rights Council admonished Israel’s apartheid and genocide against Palestinians (plus Bedouin and other goyim): “ UN Declares Israel As Having World’s Worst Human Rights” (http://yournewswire.com/un-declares-israel-as-having-worlds-worst-human-rights/). Keep in mind that Israel and its Zionist diaspora receive a full range of qualitatively superior direct and indirect welfare from the US regime, and the US regime boasts it is the world leader of freedom and human rights. Talk about flushing money down the toilet, polishing a turd, applying lipstick on a pig, throwing good money after bad money, opportunity costs, . . .
The only conclusion we could make is that the world has too many evil goyim. Lucifer and his satanic minions must not win this war! Latin America is controlled by a vast Nazi conspiracy. The Middle East is filled with anti-Semitic terrorists. Africa is flooded with criminals who are bigoted against Jews. Asia consists of inferior goyim who are jealous of or ignorant about God’s Chosen Pharisees. Never forget: Israel and its Zionist diaspora are the greatest victims and the greatest achievers in the entire universe. Never forget: If you disagree, then you are racist. Never forget: You must vote for a Zionist liberal-guilt peddler or a Zionist Christian. All other options are for crazy extremists. This is the superiority of dumb-mock-crazy elections.
This charade and many others are paid for by the petrodollar's global scams (e.g., central banksters' monopoly money, exclusive deals with oil-and-gas nations & other nations with rich natural resources, inflation tax, usury, financial fees & bureaucracy, infinite debt, unending derivatives, cartels, and sanctions).
While the Zionist US kleptocracy fanatically aids Israel’s mythological real-estate claims, explosively liberates other nations, and supports proxy rebels throughout foreign nations, the US regime suppresses the property rights and protest rights of Oregon ranchers and Native Americans: “Dakota pipeline damaging to Native American people – activist” (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yLcJb_m5IW0).
The US regime’s corporations also violate the property rights, poison the environment, and damage the health of South Americans: “New dirty war: Native Argentines fight fracking by global corporations” (https://www.rt.com/news/358941-argentine-fight-fracking-illness/). While this occurs, these government agencies and corporations claim to be global leaders of capitalism, and ideal capitalism is suppose to respect everyone’s property rights. Real-world capitalism favors the ruling class’s property rights over the commoners’ property rights.
